Cornard post stumps and riverside plenty around with last years juveniles catching the rare sunshine also ladybirds making a show keith

Excellent shot's keith, we had a good show of ladybirds in the garden yesterday. Seems they choose the same logs as lizards for their winter sleep. I could see them early on huddled at the crevices in the logs where the lizards come out. Later they got brave and moved out into the open.

Hi Keith,
Great pics. Especially liked the 3rd one. Still looking for 1st Viv and Adder here but snapped this little critter sitting quietly in the the road today. As i approached, the animal became aware of my presence and started to shuffle away, in no particular hurry. I gently put my foot in its path hoping to stall it momentarily for a better pic, but it responded with a surprisingly loud and piercing shriek! so i let it disappear into the grass. Dunno about anyone else but i dont see live Moles very often. |
