Just a small time window to search. On arrival the temp was 12c. An hour later it was 24c and to hot. Now for you Adders enthusiasts. Without the normal colour to determine the sex and with the in situ photo only, is it Male or Female ?? Size was within the range of either.

that's a very good question. Sticking my neck and tail out, I'd go for male, just because the tail looks long-ish from your photo; body shape doesn't have the chunkiness of a female. But I'm only 55% sure
