This pair I had seen earlier last year,and have been resident for some years in a River Stour backwater, but I only see one later on during the end of the year I hope its survived all depends on weather serverity? any one else got regular terrapins?. keith |

We regularly see them sunbathing on branches in the water along the Royal Military canal near Hythe in Kent, unfortunately they favour the far bank which is very overgrown and inaccessible so although they are pretty easy to see it is hard to get any sort of photo just using a phone.
There also seems to be a population of giant African snails which have been around for a few years, not sure if they breed at all though or whether they are just a few that were released.
