OK guys, I know most of you are probably still just enjoying Christmas (or according to Google the non-denominational festive period) but here's a challenge for 2014.

From and including the 1st of January 2014 can we manage to post a picture of a herp every day to this thread?

The rules (I guess we ought to have some)

It must be a freshly taken picture from that day (or night), a UK species, ideally pictured in the wild, net, hand etc.

I think it is just about possible to do, so lets start the season off in a few days. Wink

Multiple posts for a given day are fine. Both posts of more than one animal and posts from more than one forum member.

If a day is missed, so be it, we'll carry on and see just how many days we can manage throughout the entire year.

Happy Hunting!

This is an excellent idea, though January and December will be challenging.

Three of us can't do it, but I hope lots of others will join in. I don't see how how I can find much in January, but let's not be discouraged, even if the winter weeks are mainly blank. It's a great idea for spring and summer.

Yep I think we'll be heavily relying on the members with garden ponds for the first few weeks at least Wink

Now there's a challenge Gemma! I had seen frog/s swirling off in my small pond right up to Xmas Day so hopefully some around now. It it chucking it down in East Devon atm and our road is flooded, very mild though so something could be on the move in the ponds. Getting a photo will be the thing though!
Happy Herping New Year to everyone!
Suz
