Anybody have any ideas on what these are ??

Found them this morning on Hankley Common, they were at the fringes of heather, on a bit of fragmenting plastic sheet (The army seem to dump all sorts of litter over the common - particularly heaps of old MRE packets today!).

My first thought was unfertilised Herp eggs, no idea what type, or howcome they got left reasonably exposed here - must have been 'laid' last night.

All thoughts greatly appreciated. 20p piece in photo for scale.

They look like slug or snail eggs.
