Hi,
Saw a green frog in our ditch over the weekend and some newts under slate stones. Could anyone tell me if they are what I think they are - namely Laughing or Marsh frog and Common Smooth newt?
I live in Lydd and property backs onto a Petty Sewer (marsh dyke)
Thanks.

I'd agree with both your ID's, Lydd is a marsh frog hotspot.  I bet you can hear them 'laughing' too! Wink

i love the noise those frogs make, we often go the the Dungeness RSPB site and the sounds are fantastic!
