If you're in the area, it's worth checking out Go Wild! on Sat 11th June 2005 at the Pontllanfraith Council Offices in Caerphilly. For further details please telephone: 01495 235268.

Gwent Amphibian and Reptile Group (GARG) will be there with information and a display, as will Dorothy Wright, Great Crested Newt Conservation Officer from HCT and herpetologist Rhys Jones from Cardiff University.

Free wildlife extravaganza for all the family. Caerphilly Council is hosting the 3rd Go Wild! event for the Caerphilly Biodiversity Partnership to demonstrate why wildlife is important to us. Come along to meet your local wildlife û snakes, owls, fish, bees and butterflies! Other activities include face painting, bird box making, building a home for an otter, pond dipping and much, much more!

Our Go Wild stall was a big success in terms of numbers of visitors coming to see us - mainly because we had live animals which is always a draw. Many thanks to Sarah Simons and Mel Sutherland, plus Dorothy Wright who stepped into the breach when we were getting swamped.
