Just wondering...
How many people send in their sightings and if so is it 'Record Pool' or 'Living Record' ? (Or something else) I've been using RP until now but have just decided to give Living Record a go this year. I quite like the distribution map with my pins showing but it's taking a bit of getting into. Anyone else found that? (Apologies if subject appears elsewhere) |

Hello Rags,
Not sure why you haven't had any responses to this, as i'm sure there must be other members who record. I must admit, i hadn't heard of 'Living Record', but like many people i guess, i'm one for sticking to old favourites and a little resistant to change. . So i still use either Record Pool (most frequently) or the one here on RAUK (which i started out using). I'm afraid there's aspects of both that i like and dislike. EG the RAUK recording system i generally find more user friendly and simple to use. The layout feels both pleasing and relaxing to the mind and, unlike Record Pool, has never caused me pull out hair (that i can ill afford to lose) by freezing halfway through. But the records get added - so Chris tells me - later than with RP and you don't get an emailed copy (which i like to receive). Only my opinion of course, but please let me know how you get on with Living Record. Cheers Ben Edited by Liz Heard - 01 Mar 2016 at 9:41pm |
