Hi Guys,
First of all Hi! My name is Alex! We found this fella (below) at work. He was living in the water meter manhole. There are no nearby ponds and we are about 20meters from the Norfolk coast. So I guess he is living off the condensation. There were also hundreds of beetles (about 2cm). Just out of interest we are trying to identify what type it is? I'm thinking smooth female newt? What do you think! Thanks in advance for all your help |

I agree with Tom - male Smooth Newt. The head stripes are one indicator.
