this is anecdotal and may well be apocryphal but its quite funny (if your sense of humour is warped like mine!)all the same.
long ago the local paper (stroud news and journal i THINK) turned in a story about a mystified farmer who'd been losing chickens one year over the course of the spring and summer. in the autumn the owner decided to move the all-in-one-piece-inc-floor wooden henhouse elsewhere. farmhands were summoned to each grab a corner and lift. when they did a large python was revealed. coiled in a cavity underneath. Kings Stanley, Gloucestershire. 1970s no idea if the owner was traced or what was done with it. make a great cartoon! ben |
