Is it normal to have this many bites? I like the way the article doesnt automatically persicute all snakes and indicates this is unusual behaviour for an adder.

It will be interesting to see if he fits the usual demographic. A man, who has picked up an adder!

Adders will strike repeatedly, IF they are restrained in some way. Normally they just want to get as far away from the grief as fast as possible.

You do get the occasional aggressive animal, but this is almost always where the snake see itself as being cornered with no clear means of escape.

I must admit, multiple bites from an adder sound very much
like the animal was picked up...
