Natterjack toadlets still leaving the Ainsdale pools in droves. All of the damp slack areas show evidence of many toadlets.

Many of the earlier toadlets are growing rapidly with some already a couple of centimetres long.

The early wet spring has produced a bumper year for metamorph before drying out.
