An hour ago I saw a male palmate displaying/tail wafting in my deepest pond here in East Devon. There has been a lot of sun so far today but the northerly wind is quite sharp.

On mild nights plenty of palmate activity in my ponds. Tonight I caught this little gang, possibly eating the frog spawn which is just developing.
