I think I remember a mating ball too Will getting in the press a few years back. It was clear as day that it was a bunch of different animals with different markings....

OK, Gemma - I've been working on this 'two-tailed lizard' thing - I found this one today (but it seems to have a couple of heads, tooLOL!)

Thanks Gemma - I'll put some up on Flickr.  Yes, they sort out their combats very quickly in my experience - only once seen a fight that lasted twenty minutes, most of them over in 1 - 5 mins I think.  Not in the interests of either party to prolong things, I suppose.

I'm sure you were not the only one taken in by it Will Smile

Lovely Shot and excellent timing, those combats only seem to last milliseconds.

well Gemma, I was trying to restore some credibility by finding a two-tailed lizard, but all I could find today was what seems to be a two headed adder Wink !

...sure you can, Tim - me too! my favourite April Fool this year was Copenhagen Zoo which claimed to have euthanased four ageing keepers and fed them to the lions after all the fuss with Marius the giraffe and the male lion and his two cubs. Nice sense of humour guys!
