the results of a last visit of the year to Dorset - 5 species still up and about, 17degC, windy and some sunshineSmile:


Portland - male wall lizard, brown form


Creech Heath, young female slowworm


Hartland Moor, this year's sand lizard juvenile

My previous post had a very small newt larva. This one is more than twice the size. Just one frog seen.

thanks both - yes, that will have to keep me ticking over for the next few months.  Maybe I should just find a frost-free place underground and make like a snake til spring!
