Excellent Ben,

none of us should overlook the Toad just because its called the common toad, because if were not careful we'll lose them as well.

And this - anyone any idea if this might be infertile spawn or a more insidious viral attack?

Third week of spawning and another toad ball, bigger than the last, this time you can see, what nine, maybe ten visible so how many does that make in all!!!

Hi all,

I don't know about you, but it think its been a bumper year for Frog and Toad spawning. Do you think that could be either; lack of rain, so less polluted run off from roads. Or drop in numbers of Grassies over last few years in the area; or, whatever mallady was affecting the frogs and toads around five years ago is starting to subside?

You can't see them (!) but beleive me when I say that this toad ball had about ten toads in it and this is the second week of spawning!
