...amongst all the fuss, furor and general hubub, the snakes continue to bask, oblivious to it all...

seen today this is number 1, first seen in July 2007 so almost seven years ago, and which you may remember, avid Aesculapian fans, was almost killed by a strimmer that cut open its back, exposing backbone, several years ago.  The scar along its back is almost undetectable now.

I confess to being rather pleased to see itSmile

Hope to hit Colwyn Bay in the next couple of days - seeing a live one will be a lot more satisfying than dealing with imaginary ones...

good hunting Wolfgang - I'll have to come and see the Welsh ones sometime.

Hi Tim - I didn't see her in person, but I did hear what sounded like a woman's voice coming from inside this bulging Aesculapian snakeLOL:

Give us a shout if you are ever up here, Will!

I'll be taking a few small dogs and kids along as bait when I go ;-)

thanks Keith!

I'll do that, Wolfgang, and likewise if you're in London when the snakes are out and about.

It may be coincidence, but I think a movie is about to be released about a giant man-eating reptile that invades cities.  Godzilla vs The Camden Creature, maybe?

And here an image from last Friday to show that ours here in North Wales are also still doing what they have been doing for the last 45-50 years. Four specimens found over the last three days, including a juvenile from last year.
