James I may have mentioned this a few times but there are no Adders in Delamere Forest or Slow Worms either. The only definite place for Adders in Cheshire is Risley (possibly around the peckforton hills but not sure where) and the only site for Slow Worms is private. Moore is on an old major industrial site so I doubt there are reptiles although I was primarily a birdwatcher when I used to frequent the site so I could be wrong.

Some of the habitat looks perfect, shame it's going to waste!. Maybe we could relocate it over some of Canford Heath's industrial estate.

No the website doesn't say that at all. It says a cow sustained an injury in 1984 which was thought to have been a snake bite. I really haven't got time for this James. I have stated my opinions on Cheshire reptiles and you obviously think differently. Please don't personal message me again as I really can't help you.

This thread is about VB, no?. 1 Slow worm reported in 30 odd years ???? Sounds abit dubious, even given their secretive nature.Common Lizards ~ have been reported since '79...Go and take some pictures then!. But Dave was absolutely correct in what he said with regards to Adders. Cheers, Alex. |
