A few hours of sunshine brought out some common lizards in my local patch, including some 'sausages' yet to give birth - no sign of any babies as yet...

was going out this weekend to see if there are any babies about but if they haven't appeared down south yet its unlikely we'll have any in staffs.

Thanks Tim; I was in Dorset a couple of days ago and even there the commons were still full of babies

Suzi - yes, looks like those three are on sun loungers!

plenty of gravid females out today all looking like they've still got a couple of weeks to go yet. all last years young still pretty small too!

Saw my first baby today here in sunny Blackpool, not on a coastal sight but about 1.5 miles inland, the poor weather not having much of an effect.

Funny you should post Ray as I was going to post a comment saying those lizards were lying as packed as people on Blackpool beach used to be when I was a kid.
You get more sun in the Fylde than many parts of the country I think.
