A super sunny south Devon worked its magic over the weekend. A colleague managed to photograph our First La. Was clearly determined to enjoy maximium sun as apparently didnt stray from spot for nearly 3 hrs.

Hello Ray,

Not too bad really, we were missed by most of the storm fronts and only really got whacked the day the train line was hit.

Main lizard area hardly effected (maybe 1 metre of frontage along about 1km of foreshore at distal end). Principle erosion was closer to resort. We lost 4-6m of dune over 2-300m. We've also had to reroute several hundred meters of path, which will make difficult to monitor/ compare population to previous. Ho hum.

How about your end?

Similar story really some parts survived with very little damage others areas were hit quite bad.
On the dunes in Blackpool posts had been put on the edge of the dunes to deepen them with natural accretion and this has worked but some of the embryo dunes have been washed away, still that is the nature of a dynamic system.
