Increasing the accuracy of a search can be accomplished by using special search query operators. By default, if a search query is entered without any arguments between the words, all the words must be present in the document in order for it to show up on the results list.
Here is a list of arguments and some examples of each:
Phrasing "" by including the words in quotes the search is modified to return results for the exact phrase included in the quotes.

Example

will return documents with the phrase grass snake, but not those simply containing the words grass and snake.
AND + (Plus) This operator states that a word must be present in a document for it to appear on the search list.

Example

Will only return documents containing both the phrase "grass snake" and the word identification.

Example

Will return documents containing the words grass and snake
NOT - (Minus) This operator can be very useful to remove documents that might not be useful to your search

Example

will return documents containing the word grass but not the word snake
OR |(Pipe) This operator states that a phrase can be in a document, but it is not required. If it is present then that document will be given a higher ranking in the search.

Example

Will return documents with the words grass and snake, those also containing the word juvenile will be given a higher ranking
Wildcard *
Wildcard searches allow you to search a document for partial words

Example

Will return words beginning with the letters hiber, such as hibernacula, hibernation, hibernate
